The main function of a slag dryer is to dry slag containing a large amount of moisture through high-temperature heating, reducing its moisture content for subsequent processing and utilization.

Working principle

Slag dryer usually adopts a rotary design, mainly composed of a rotary cylinder, induced draft equipment, high-speed dispersing equipment, lifting plate and other components. Slag is fed into the hopper through a belt conveyor and then enters the feeding end of the dryer through a feeding pipe. In the rotary cylinder, the material moves forward under the action of gravity and rotation, and is repeatedly picked up by the plate, forming a uniform curtain that fully contacts with the hot air flow, thus achieving the purpose of drying.
